AI infrastructure solutions are the work I am building today. After leading the development of one of the largest data centers in North America, in Rockdale, Texas, I am pointing the same playbook — speed, precision, ruthless execution — at the next thing the grid is going to swallow.
However, the shift from Bitcoin mining to AI compute is not a pivot. In fact, it is the same problem set with different hardware and a different customer. You still need a lot of power. The power has to be cheap. Then you have to build faster than the people who pretend to build.

The bike does not care about any of that, by the way. I rode anyway, even on the days the build was on fire. The cycling and the building have always run on the same engine.
AI Infrastructure Solutions: From Bitcoin Mining to AI Compute
Whinstone, later acquired by Riot Blockchain, was an industrial-scale build. We took raw farmland and turned it into one of the largest data centers in North America. The timeline was tight. The grid was complicated. The neighbors were curious, then loud, then fine. I learned more from that build than from any business book I have ever read.
What I learned in Rockdale, Texas
The thing about industrial-scale infrastructure is that you cannot bullshit physics. The transformer is either there or it is not. Also, the fiber is either lit or it is not. And the cooling either works or it does not. In short, every excuse a vendor gives you costs real money in real time.
That meant I learned to do the unglamorous things first. Visit the site. Walk the perimeter. Meet the linemen. Have lunch with the county commissioner. Show up before anyone needs you to. The deal got done because we showed up, not because of a deck.
Why the same playbook works for AI infrastructure solutions
AI infrastructure solutions look different on paper. The chips are different. Also, the customers are bigger. Then the cooling is more aggressive. But the process is the same: secure the power, secure the land, secure the people, build fast, prove the thing works, then scale.
Every campus I touch now starts with a power-availability map and a relationship. Everything else — the architecture, the cooling design, the project finance — comes after.
Modular Data Centers as the Core of Modern AI Infrastructure
I am not a fan of the traditional data center build. They are slow. Also, they are rigid. In fact, they are built for a workload nobody is running anymore by the time the project finishes.
Speed of build matters more than ever
The pace of AI demand is a different problem than the pace of crypto demand was. With crypto, you could deploy when you were ready. With AI, the customer needs the racks live yesterday. That gap, between what the chip OEMs are shipping and what infrastructure can absorb, is where I am working.
AI infrastructure solutions are about deployment, not theory
Theory does not ship megawatts. However, modular, prefabricated, repeatable design ships megawatts. I am focused on building components that snap together — power skids, cooling skids, fiber pathways, security envelopes — so a campus can come online in months, not years.
This is the unsexy core of the work. Most days, I am talking to a fabricator in the Midwest, a transformer rep in Europe, a fiber operator on the Gulf Coast. The pretty story comes after.
The AI Factory and the Token Economy
When I talk about AI infrastructure solutions in the long arc, I am talking about something specific: the Savrn AI Factory campus, paired with the SAVRN AI Training Institute as the mission, funded through Intelliflex Blocks as the structure.
Savrn AI Training Institute as the mission anchor
The Institute is the why. AI is going to reshape every industry, and most of the people who will work in those industries do not have access to the training to keep up. The Institute exists so that as the AI Factory campuses come online, the people inside the regions where they are built have a path forward, not just an industrial neighbor.
Intelliflex Blocks and the funding mechanism
Intelliflex Blocks are the structure that lets the AI Factory pillar produce something the public market can hold. On the homepage and the YouTube channel, I refer to that as the Token Economy. The financial mechanics are not the point of this post. The point is that the structure is set up so the mission and the money line up.
Why AI Infrastructure Solutions Live or Die on Energy
You can build the cleanest data center on Earth, with the most exotic chips and the prettiest cable management, and if your power is not right, you have nothing. AI infrastructure solutions are an energy problem first and a compute problem second.
Direct power-plant integration
The cleanest path to deploying AI infrastructure solutions is putting the campus next to the generation. Not near the grid. Not served by a utility. On the same site as the generator. That is how you cut transmission losses, how you avoid the grid-interconnect queue, and how you give the energy partner an offtaker that pays predictably.
Renewable integration without performance loss
The grid wants reliability. AI customers want reliability. If you bolt renewable generation onto an AI campus without storage, you have added complexity without solving anything. The AI infrastructure solutions I care about pair generation with battery storage and a smart distribution layer, so the campus has a flat, predictable load profile no matter what the wind is doing.
What’s Next for Chad’s AI Infrastructure Solutions Work
The work I am doing sits at the intersection of the things that hold attention: AI, energy, infrastructure, capital, and the human-scale question of where the next generation of working people end up. I do not have a deck for it. I have a campus model, a financing structure, and a list of jurisdictions.
The bike, the build, the through-line
If you have ever noticed that I post about cycling and AI in the same breath, here is why. The bike has been with me through every chapter of my career. Lemonade stand. Landscaping. Retail. Online. Whinstone. Now this. The bike is the through-line, and most of the times I have figured something hard out, I figured it out on the road. I rode anyway, even on the days the build was on fire.
If you are building something at the intersection of AI infrastructure solutions and energy infrastructure, get in touch.
